Default Tie rod 04 Stype

I read somewhere else in these forums that the inner tie rod for my stype is the same as the lincoln ls inner tie rod. Can anyone confirm this? Jaguar doesn't sell the inner tie rod, you have to buy the whole rack and pinion assembly, however ford does sell the inner tie rod for the ls separately. Replacing a rack and pinion just for one tie rod would be crazy expensive. Thanks guys

I don't know about cross compatiblity but Ken at British Parts can supply you with just the inner tie rod you need. I believe they are around $100.

Take care,

George

Sebastian,

If it does work, please let us know, and add it to the confirmed cross referenced ford / jaguar parts thread I have. Part #'s would be great too!

Thanks in advance,

George

It should work fine but please do report back. Several people have used them on the STR and the V-8.

Please can anyone post the Ford number in case the part will be available over here (where the LS isn't sold). And put it in the cross-ref stuff, of course.

From the fordparts.com website, the callout number is 3280, the motorcraft part number is MEOE21. Don't know where the other post is. If someone links to it i'll post the info. Thanks
