Trans Fluid ? Type How to check it?

I have a 2000 S-Type with a 4.0L engine. I need to know how to check the transmission fluid and what type of fluid to use.

Bring it to the specified temp on he rear of trans. You then remove the torx screew in middle of drain plug on bottom of trans. Do not remove the drain plug. It should trickle out of the torx screw hole.

Mercon V and there is a fill plug on the rear upper passengers side of the trans case.
