"I have heard" - just ignore that. The ZF is in many cars including Audi, BMW, Bentley.

Is your VIN before or after M45254?

 

hi the vin on my car is M71813 so not sure what that means can you help thank you

 

I also have two other problems one is that i am loosing coolant have replaced the thermostat and no signs of leaks, and no signs of it contaminating with the engine oil yet it will loose approx 1 Litre of water within a 50klms zone and i get a shudder when i doing around 60klms sounds like its coming from the rear can anyone help the Jag I have is a 2002 S type thank you

 

That VIN shows you have the ZF 6HP26, if auto.

Hunt down the leak. It leaves a red stain so tends to be quite easy except on the STR which is crammed in the engine bay.
