Question transmission fault

the transmission fault lit on the dash board fo my 2001 s type. What does it mean? What could be wrong and why? Please help.

Now as far as your problem. You need to run down to Auto Zone, PEP Boys, etc and get the code(s) read for free and report back.

'01 stype 3.0 v6 engine 96k. Just got yr message. My husband took the jag to a mechanic n said that the "solilonol package valve 8 type" has to be change. Something like that. It will be causing me around 2 grand. Does that sound right?
