Needed a transmission for my 2006 STR, looking around I’ve found one for a 2009 XF Supercharged. Both are 6hp trans but have different past numbers on few websites?

I have one for sale in the marketplace i bought for my 06 str. Look at photos. Has torque convertor too. Only 69,000 miles. I crossed over the zf number and the ford number found on the sticker. Should be perfect fit

Ideally yes. Now that does not mean another number won't work and I would for sure chase down the unit that scottJH9 posted above. It sounds like it would be a match. It's from a 2006 STR same as your car.
