Evening all.

At the present moment in time I can only open my trunk with the remote. The manual trunk button is non responsive as well as the trunk release button from the interior. Any quick fixes out there, or is this a trip to the dealer?

As I'm reading from other threads on here, I thankfully am not locked out or anything. It's more of a mild annoyance. It is cold out and all, but not cold enough for freezing issues

It's an '01 S Type 4.0.

Use the key!!!

 

Is the valet button activated in the glovebox?

 

That could be it but do also check that the key works because the lock could do with being used enough to keep it working.

 

Yes I forgot to mention that the key does work.

 

I'd put money on the valet button also.
You should check it out soon as if you have an electrical battery fault you could be in deep do do!

 

Ah ha. Valet button it is. The hand carwashers press it when they clean the interior.
