Default Trunk lid won't open all the way on STR.....

Anyone have any suggestions on what to adjust to get the rear trunk lid to open all the way up after pressing the release button from inside? My guess is that it has something to do with the springs

Thanks to all for your help.

Once you hit the button, can you open it by hand still?

Hi Michael, yes it pops open after pressing the button just enough to open by hand, but it doesn't like retract all the way up. Is that normal?

No you are correct in that it should slowly open itself all the way once you hit the button. Is there anything obstructing the springs?
