Default Tyre Recommendations

I will soon need to replace the Pirelli PZero tyres and at £800 for a set am looking for alternatives. I did use Michelin Primacy on my X and whilst they lasted well they were very noisy. So do not want to get caught again. Any recommendations for reasonably priced quiet tyres would be welcomed.
By the way they are 245/40 ZR18.

Also any good UK breakers as I need a new wheel arch liner?

I personally am going for the yokohoma s-drives in place of the pirelli p-zeros. I have done alot of research, and this is what i found was the best overall ride/performance/comfort for a z-rated tire. Others may have other ones to look at. The Tire Rack has many customer surveys that helped with my decision. u should try that.

After having tried the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, I've gone back to the Kumho ASX on the STR.

Grip difference is minimal (if any), ride seems more quiet (but tough to tell because I can't remember how the Michelins sounded when they were new), and the tire is about $100 less expensive. Tread wear is a 420. From a quality bang for the buck perspective - the ASX is a value.

Good luck,
Eric

you're not the first to recommend that Kumho...must be good. Not offered in my sizes though.

I'll add Kumho to my list. Anyone experience of Goodyear Eagles'? They seem pretty reasonably priced.
