Default Updgrade Questions

So I recently bought an 02 S-Type 4.0
I fixed almost everything that was wrong and now i'm looking for upgrades.
I put on dual Flowmasters with 2.5" cat back exhaust. I ordered the JaguarXP intake, hopefully i'll get it in a month.

So now I have been looking at the STS universal kit and running a low 5-7 pounds and possably a small 100 shot. I already have the N2O kit from my other car.

Any thoughts on that or advice on that would be more than welcome.

As for the engine. I know the engine jumped from the 4.0 to the 4.2 in the middle of 2002. Is the 4.2 just a bored out 4.0 with all the same pieces parts(ie TB and Manifolds.....) or are the 4.2 able to bolt on to the 4.0 and are they better?

If anyone has any hints, tips, clues, oor insight for me please let me know. Otherwise I am just gonna put the STS turbo on it and maybe the N2O when I sell my Hyundai.

Thanks in advance everyone.

If you were planning on going fast, you should have gotten an S-Type R

There is not much that is interchangeable from the 4.0 to the 4.2.

well thanks, I bought this car on moments notice. I couldn't pass up the deal. I know nothing about Jags so I didn't know there was a STR. Anyway with the STS turbo pushing 5 pounds of boost I should be able to take the STR and that's all for under 20k. Not a bad deal. If that doesn't work then I always have a N2O kit on the side.

Well thanks anyway for the advice.

The web site is www.ststurbo.com go to the universal kit section. there are plenty of upgrades you can add to the kit but the universal doesn't come with the all the bent piping. Not to big a deal. Sorry it took so long to respond.

How are you go get the turbo piping to your exhaust.. I wanted to do a turbo on my S-type... and there is a pretty big thread on it.. and it seems as if i's tooo much work that would be needed in fabrication and all that.

Too much work? I've boosted plenty of cars before, and the only problem with boosting the Jag is the fact that I haven't been able to find someone to tune my ECU. I've been strongly considering it, and I would no longer boost my Nissan if I find someone to tune the ECU for my jag. Custom fabricating a manifold is pretty easy and cheap if you need someone to do it for you. A front mount inter cooler would definitely fit and there is plenty of space for piping, just a little cutting. Running oil lines is also a sinch. I would be more concerned about these ****ing bitch *** trannys that would easily snap.
