I'm thinking about a couple of small upgrades and wanted to see if anyone had tried these:

K&N filter ( not the whole intake, dealer said it voids warranty)?

Changing out the high beam bulbs with Piaas or Hellas? I was warned about the bulbs by the dealer bc i had heard they can overheat?

Or would it be better to convert to an HID set up for high beams?

I already have them of course for the low beams if that helps... Thanks!

 

Hi there bmw 745......re the upgrades.

I wouldn't bother with the K&N unless you're looking to save a few $$.........no real performance gains there....check out the previous threads on this topic.

Upgraded bulbs / Hids.........also been done to death. Check out previous topics, there's quite a few in the X forum if you find few / none in the S.
