Upper Radiator Hose Question
Hi guys, I've tried really hard to try and figure this out and I'm at a complete loss. Like several of you, the little plastic "turret" thing broke on my upper radiator hose...so I've pulled it out. It appears I need URO (or equiv) part
XR827648 to replace it. However, this part appears to be missing a hose that connects to a nipple on the air intake assemby (see the picture below circled in yellow). Does anyone have ANY clue why
XR827648 seems to be missing this and more importantly if it really does, what in the world do you do???

Yeah...that hose is a common problem. Mine started leaking around 55k miles.
What year S-type do you have? This info will help us out.
(Also, I think you need to post a "hello" in the new members thread...)

Hi Sal, it's a 3.0L S-Type 2004. Thank you!
To my knowledge the XR827648 part number is for the hose for the earlier S-type's (2002 and prior).
I believe the part number you need is: XR854920
I recall one member just bought the upper hose part from Rock Auto and just used the previous thermostat and thermostat housing.

Thanks Sal. I have confirmed that you are exactly correct from a parts company in the UK. Unfortunately it seems that rockauto doesn't stock that part any more and may have to just order from across the pond.
I really appreciate the help guys! Saved me from making a mistake.
It's really bit of concern that so many online catalogs show the wrong hose for this vehicle. Yikes.

No problem.
If you want to get the original part though, you can get it from Gaudin Jaguar. It's a dealership in Las Vegas, NV.
Direct JPLV Porsche Parts.com
I ordered mine from there and I received it pretty quickly.
