JagV8, I said the mood light was useless, I didnt mention that it was sooooooo annoying that I needed to take the bulb out. If it isnt broken, why mess with it. I hope you dont suggest the same thing if someone says they dont like the steering wheel, I mean you suggest to remove it ?

Ok, where is this orange mood light because I've never noticed it. Does the light stay on the whole time while you are driving?

Sounds like your mood light put you in a bad one.

It seems the warm fuzzy effect is not working.

I figured it was there to help someone, especially a passenger (who may well be unfamiliar with the car), find the switches for the overhead interior lights. Seems to work OK for that.

Yup, it's to help you "see" the console as well..Honda Accord's with EX trim have it as well. And you can't turn Honda's off either.

I've had my S-Type for 2 days and just downloaded the handbook...thanks to Jim. I'm curious, how did you disable the auto seat set-up? I figure it isn't a big deal if I'm driving it 95% of the time. Appreciate your response. Thanks.

Just move the switch to the left of the steering wheel on the column from auto to either of the other two positions and the seat won't move.

Thanks. I need to spend some time with the car. Even though it's in the garage, it's a little too cold to want to spend much time there right now. Unusual weather for Nashville. Looks like the Jag sits in the garage tomorrow too...will this stuff ever melt?

The most useless feature on mine: the wood trim. I quite like real wood but this looks like bad, unevenly faded plastic. Good job I bought the car to drive not to admire from the inside as furniture.

Of course, everyone who sees it has a view on jag's ability to make a quality car so I guess jag reap what they sow.

I don't know about useless but **** poor engineering. The plastic teather covers on the parcel shelf. One was missing when we purchased, I replaced it at $45.00. I just now broke another, damn little tabs are very brittle. Useless tabs!!!! The reason for $45.00 is you have to purchase the whole bolt and teather assembly.

Rick, are talking about the LATCH anchor covers? My dealer gave me some, without changing the bolts...If that is what you meant..I'll ask them to get me some more. I don't think they would just toss me the plastic part if they were only available with the bolts...But I could be wrong...

Thats the ones Jeff!!! Wayne over here at our dealership said they used sell just the plastic covers but now you have to purchase the whole darn thing.

Latch anchors are in the seats, teather anchors are on the parcel shelf (FYI). I should know Joyce works for a saftey seat company. Alot of people don't even use the teather.....DUMMIES

oopsey Joyce just happened by and corrected me, the correct spelling is TETHER!
The tether thingies are for when you have young rug rats (ankle biters, kids) that sit in child saftey seats. There is a long seatbelt like strap that is attached to the top rear of car seat that attaches to those thingies on the parcel shelf. What the strap does is prevent the whiplash effect in a car crash.

Jeff don't you have a buddy with a heated garage? If not harbor freight/northern tool sells a small propane torpedo heater (I have the MrHeater 35,000 BTUs) for less than a hundred bucks, it works really, really well, and we have a 780 sq.ft. garage. That would cover the cost of the dealer itself!

We have the light/cream/ivory interior.
