Default Water pump bolt torques

2004 3.0 water pump replacement. JTIS has 25Nm for the bolts holding the pump to the block. I need to pair my inlet housing to the new pump. I'm thinking more like 10Nm for those but I'd rather see it as a specification. Anybody know?

Thanks Catfan, that is where I got the 25Nm for mounting the pump to the engine. The seven bolts holding the housing halves together are much smaller, no way they'll go 25. I'll be using anti-seize on the threads too which adds a need to favor the lighter side even more.

Try 8Nm + 90 degrees. That is the spec for the V8 engines. That should be less than 24Nm but get you into the neighborhood, especially with anti seize. (Smart move on the antiseize - I did that myself)

Now in my case I got 8Nm + 45 to 60 degrees of rotation and stopped as I didnt want to snap any bolts.

Hope this is helpful!

Anytime. BTW, no leaks from my water pump even though I didn't get to that +90 deg mark.
