Hi,

I was cleaning the front bumper and related parts on my 2000 S-Type (3.0), and noticed this hole (see attached) behind the cover next to the LH fog lamp.

Does anyone know what this is, and if it needs to filled with something (i.e., a cap or a screw)?

 

I believe that is the mounting hole for your tow hook.

Nothing to worry about unless you don't have a tow eye and need it for a wrecker to pull your car up for transport.
