hi all

ive got a 2003 STR its got 63k on the clock and is due a service. i did an oil change at 53k as well as the oil filter and air filter.

now its time to do the service again.iam an engineer by trade so will do the service my self. im just wondering what should be carried out on a 60k service and a 7/8 year old car and is there anything else i should change?

when should the timing be checked?
when should the gearbox oil be changed?
when should the belts be changed?

etc etc

if you havent done the thermostat yet, i would do that. also check the coolant tank too.

new battery if you havent done it yet too. Check the wiring in the trunk floor especially the ground wire make sure it is clean. i know it says the lifetime trans fluid, but i would change that. i cant think of anything really other than normal stuff, maybe inspect the main belts too.

 

i was thinking of getting a eurotoys thermostat any way so ill get that and get it fitted.
