Devils advocate: it's not your grandmas car if you do a fair amount of spirited driving why not change them out to be in tip top shape. I can see the plugs lasting 100k but at what point does performance become compromised?

Plugs live in a nasty harsh environment.
You don't see NASCAR keeping plugs for 100k or F1 for that matter.

No argument with that but I also see nothing to say the NGK are better than or as good as the OE Denso. Just opinion or are there facts for the STR?

I agree with BFs, I wouldn't leave no plug in for 100k, I would change it ever 60k, also there is abundant info on the web and test results showing that the thinner the center electrode is as compared to a thicker one, it will tend to wear down faster. I personally love NGK's. I have them on all my cars

I pulled my plugs at 52k and they looked work. Better to be proactive
