Default Will 04 s type left front door fit 06 Harness plug ?

I have to replace my dented left front door (driver side US) I found 2 I can drive and pick up that even have all the parts and glass complete. My fear is the wiring harness connection might not match up. One in an 04, the other is an 05 and my car is an 06. Has anyone here swapped out doors on these s type and have some advice?.. Thanks for your time, I'm just sick about the dent.

I replaced a rear door on my '02 a couple of years ago. (One of those big landscaping rocks in a parking lot jumped out as I was taking a corner.) Not sure if the later models are the same, but I was very surprised to find how the harness was arranged.

I was expecting one big disconnect near the hinge area. What I found was the harness fed through from the vehicle body into the door, no breaks. The harness stayed with the vehicle, not the door. To remove the door, I had to unplug the branches of the harness inside the door, i.e. from the window lift motor, door latch, lock motor, and window switch. Once the ends were loose, I then fed the harness out of the door. After replacing the door, I fed the existing vehicle harness into the new door and connected all of the connectors.

Most likely any post facelift door should work with any post facelift vehicle. For a little piece of mind, try comparing part numbers of the various electrical components. For example, I compared window lift motors at Rock Auto, and all cars 2003+ used the same part number.
