Year stickers do not exist in Quebec and yet I was given a ticket.

He is correct. If it covers the Je Me Souviens, he will be ticketed.
Your cops must be bored or instructed to bring in as much cash as possible.. knowing Quebec its the cash..lol
As mentioned the same law applies here in Texas but I have yet to hear anyone say they have been stopped for it.90% of the vehicles have some sort of plate frame covering a portion of the wording.
We also have a law that mandates front plates but I would guess that 50% of vehicles are missing one (including mine)but have never been stopped for it. I'm sure our cops are just too busy to worry bout trivial crap.

It's a nice idea, but I'm 99% certain you'd be pulled by the police here in UK for that around your reg. number. They even pull drivers for having the wrong font!

I have the same one, but black to match the STR. Pretty happy with it, good quality and pretty low key. I had several chrome ones on my X type that were simple with a leaper, but the quality was awful and the chrome would pit and come off in short order.

I'm not a fan of the overly ornate one in the original post, but i can see the appeal to some folks depending on how the rest of the car is "pimped."

Maybe a set of truck nuts if it's an R model. That's so nice and subtle ...

LOL!!

Bob I saw a middle aged woman driving a newer Jeep Liberty with a set of chrome truck nuts hanging off some part of the undercarriage the other day. And a "Roll Me Over If You Can Read This" sticker on the back window. Yes, on a new Liberty, which has about as much off road ambition as my old X type.

She looked like a school teacher whose students decided to play some pranks on her or something. Hilarious!

My favorite I saw once was one of those ribbon things but pink. Instead of Support the Troups it said "Support Your Local Strip Club"

If I remember correctly, he claimed that he finally bought an S-Type but wound up leaving the forum in a huff although I cannot remember why. I believe he said he was age 19....
