Default WOW! Anyone in the market for a near new 03 STR?

Wow! If only I has $20+K sitting around. Lowest mileage one I've seen for sale yet!

Carfax shows it was sold out of Nashville TN.

She is a beautiful example!

Interesting listing as the person has it all wrong about Ford's influence on the S-Type.

Rare to see a white S-Type R usually they're black or gray.

Two things about the ad would cause me to back off:
Number one: Says built before "Ford" took over: Not true. {check Google} Ford purchased Jaguar in 1990 and later Land Rover join in, in 2000.
Number Two: It list in the specks that it has a 4.2 Engine, in the narrative it says a 4.0. I believe the 4.2 wasn't added until the 2004 model.

Wonder what else the fellow doesn't know about the car. hummmmmmm!

Well..

It didn't sell..I'm not sure if this poor soul is deep in what he paid for the the vehicle or simply trying to turn a huge profit.

As much as I enjoy driving my S Type..I'm not sure if there is a $10,000 example out there, let alone $20,000.

Well, the seller must have received some negative feedback on his "Ford" comments and the non-replacement of old tires; these too are no longer mentioned...He must have replaced the tires, at significant cost apparently!

When I first saw the ad. I wrote and commented on his incorrect comments. He wrote back and asked if I wanted to purchase it for $19,500. I let it pass. The little research I did on the seller shows he has a Facebook page and it shows a lot of motorcycles. I get the feeling this is a person who picks up vehicles at low prices and then trys to quickly turn them. I doubt if he knows much about Jaguars.
He is probably trying to get a feel for the market and see if anyone takes the bait. 26K miles is very low for a 17 year old STR. But as have been discussed many times on the forum, a 17 year old Jaguar without perfect maintenance will still have several thousand dollers put into it to replace all the hoses and other plastic parts that keep aging as the car sits.

If the seller took a different approach selling it, and took the time to list service done to the car, and stated that the imfamous valley hose had been replaced, I might have been interested.

Car will likely be advertised for a long time until someone with more money than brains, and doesn't know jaguars, purchases it thinking they got a super deal/

The 4.2 came in for 2002MY which was 2001 over here, and I suppose 2002 USA.

Every STR has a 4.2.

The ad is junk and I wouldn't touch the car at anything like that price.
