I think Xalty means the SDD?
Xalty can you explain any more? Maybe how many cycles it takes?
I like BBG have had zero luck getting them back working without the SDD? I hit a deer that took out the drivers side head light and the body shop spent 3 days trying to do this without taking the car to the Jaguar dealer but in the end they had to. I told them it was required but they claimed to have a "guy" that could do it without the dealer.

you just go into ADHLS on datalogger turn on output state controls and then push it into calibration. my launch can do it too

hi
it sounds like the adjuster have broke on that headlight, causing it to hang low
if you pull a connecter with battery connected, it will stop both lights from sweeping
and can only be reset with software jaguar ids/sdd or a diagnostic tool, it wont reset on its own
cheers
Joe

Xalty I am still confused??

You said that just cycling the car off and on will eventually reset the head light start up sweep up and down function?
But now you say to go into the ADHLS (Is this a step in SDD? I have never seen it it?) and into calibration?
That's what the rest of us have been saying that you can't reset this without an external tool of some sort?

my car fixed itself before i had to do it myself, i can go in with IDS and play around with the settings yes which is probably what your dealer did. maybe some cases it wont. i've had the bumper off like 3 times to change ebay bulbs never any serious problems.

OK that's very interesting!
Now you bring up what I have found too?
IF I don't have the head lights powered up when I remove them all is fine. But when I had my deer accident it was dark and I was driving with the head lights on so they were powered up when the crash occurred and then we had to use the dealer to set things right after the repairs.
