Looking for some advice. I have 2011 XFR and would like to change the rear diff oil. Had a look in the workshop manual and under the car. It appears the filler plug is nicely hidden with little access to get a key in there. I'm guessing it's a hex key but not sure the size/best method for removing the plug. Refilling will likely be 1.1 litres via a hand pump..
Thanks Bigg Will. Your expertise and photography skill is most appreciated. I'll be tackling this along with the transmission oil change. All the bolts broke loose from the transmission pan without any issue. Life is good. Just waiting for the pan / redline fluid.
The XFR diff case is different than the 09 Supercharged correct? The XFR and later Supercharged models have the E-diff so I imagine it is. I had no issues accessing the fill plug on my 09. No tools were harmed.
Correct. There's a drain plug which is readily accessible and a fill plug that has little access. As Bigg Will captured a cut-off hex key and wrench is likely the best way to go.
