Default Interior light bulb colour change

Hello Forumers,

I was hoping to get some guidance from anyone who has replaced their interior XK8 lights please.

I would like to replace the welcome lights, footwell lights, and rear interior light bulbs with ones that are warmer, as the ones currently there are a bit "cold" for my liking - I would like it to feel more snug and welcoming inside when the lights are on.

Has anyone done this, and therefore recommend the right kind of bulbs to go for please?

Many thanks in advance. VERY excited to be part of the XK8 forum as I bought mine yesterday

Do you know if the bulbs in your new car were changed by the PO? I ask because my stock bulbs are not cold or harsh at all, what color is your interior?

You might look for some yellow bulbs, just guessing.

Thanks guys, appreciate your replies.

My interior is dove grey. To be honest, the lights don't look standard, or at least I would be surprised if they were knowing how warm and inviting most Jag interiors are.

I will perhaps ask a Jag parts company about replacement bulbs, and just check if they ever came in more than one colour as standard.

Thanks again.
Robbie.

I changed my bulbs to red in the footwells and overhead same fitment easily obtained off eBay, I also fitted red led lightstrips along the innerdoor sills, I will post a pic later when it gets dark may not be to your likeing but it will give you some idea.

Perhaps a PO fitted leds. Most of them tend to produce a bluish light.
