got a 2000 xj8 ,that had a bad fuel pump, replaced pump nothing, turns over, but no spark or fuel pump action. hooked up my scanner and the adl want talk to it. all i get is error. jump pump relay and have good pressure. acts like no ground on relay to turn it on. have key power and batt power

 

How much battery power?....if its low, it may not link. Put a charger on it and try again....be sure to check your fuses also.

 

new battery. found a pin broken on compter plug in. put one in from running car same thing . can't program or anything unless adl works ,hate to scrap it with only 67 k on the clock, but only have 600 in it

I know this is probably pointless and/or too late but, there's a fuse for the ALDL.

 

i've checked all fuses in the boxes. which one is it and i'll recheck
