Airbag removal
Greetings!
So who knows how to dismount the steering wheel airbag on our cars?
I've watched various YouTube vids (none dedicated to our year of cars), and have tried to mimic almost all the European processes with no luck.
Even broke down and bought a FleaBay $29 airbag removal tool kit, and am about to surrender after repeated failures.
Anyone have the secret technique they care to share?
Many thanks,
Vince

I've removed mine twice and it is not easy. I used the Jaguar airbag tool. The biggest issue for me is when one side released and then I release the opposite side then the other side would snap back in place. Took me about 40 minutes back and forth.
This is what I got to work with.... No idea which tool comes close (if any).

This is what you need:

Sorry no pics but you need to extended the steering wheel and turn it 90 degrees from center, this places the right and left access holes within easy reach, now at top and bottom. The tool slides in and you push it to the side to release the wedge tab/clip.

Do you recall if you were working up high (towards the rim) or down low towards the hub? Once inside the release slots, there is about 3/4" of up/down play back in there, and I could not really find or feel anything.
Am I pushing a spring wire off a slotted post, like some of the vids I saw (Volvo I think).?
