Looking good and coming along. I just got mine back together after about 2 yrs of cleaning and checking wiring and other things, besides replacing some parts. Only took me that long because of some physical disabilities, but wanted to do it myself not only for the cost factor but to say I did it

Thanks,

Yes, now it is easier to reach the machine screws.
I used a step drill to put the access holes in the tower.

Brilliant. I have done something similar but not nearly as beautifully done. I also swapped the front RHS hex headed bolt for an allen headed version (as on my Lucas car the vac capsule fouls the socket) and use a long key to get at that one. Now it is a 10 minute job for me to remove the capstan stand and the coil and so it makes plug changes an absolute doddle. Only took me 18 years to think of it!
Highly recommended mod to everyone!

I got that idea for the modification off the forum. It certainly makes things a little easier.

Here is the throttle cable pulley all cleaned up:
