Default Getting front red emblem for 2010 XFR (2 didnt fit so far?)

Hey guys,

So far I have ordered 2 replacement red growler badges for the front of my 2010 XFR. One from aliexpress (came from china) and one from ebay (came from US.) Both products where the same, overall quality great but the little clips on the back are spaced incorrectly.

I ordered correct size, 70mm. Anyone got a solid link where to buy one that will fit? I broke the clips off the first one which cost me $12 and it works for now buts it not snug like id like it to be. Sending the other back which cost 25.

The only other option is trough dealer for $60+...

Anyone else change theres and have any issues like this? The spacing should of the those pins on the back are the issue.

I just gently removed my original badge, split it into its 3 parts and sprayed the black plastic backing red with a rattle can. Easy

I did the same thing, except I painted the backing body colour (Kyanite) with a brush, using ChipEx touch up paint, then two coats of clear over the top. I also picked out the Jaguar lettering in red enamel. I bought a red badge a few months ago, but when I compared it to my modified original badge it was no contest, the modified badge was waaaay better, so the red badge went back in it's packet and I doubt I will ever use it.

I did mine on a 2010 SC. I bought it from SNG Barratt - was more expensive than those ones you have bought but I've found those cheap import parts to be poor quality and often don't fit well. Think mine was around $50ish and Barratt helped me make sure I had the right size as the facelift post 2012 I believe has a slightly different size

Its held on with 3m double sided sponge tape from the factory. So use that. Mine came off cleanly so i reused the original tape.

Yea the 2 cheap ones I bought online where pretty much identical very impressed with the overall quality but the clips on the back where spaced too close together ... The diameter of the piece was right though.. Wonder if they fit any models ?

The genuine ones from XJR fits without any problems to classic XF

If you've already bought a badge that you like and is the right diameter why don't you just cut the clips of it and stick it on with a hot glue gun? That would give you a few seconds to align it properly before the glue set.

You don't really need the clips, just the 3m tape.

You can align it with the red plastic still on the tape, just pulled back slightly, when its in place you just pull the plastic off and press hard.
