Default Euro style plate

Wonder how long I can go without being pulled over.

it's sad we are one of the few states that still require that :/ I had a Scion Xb and I wanted to put Japanese license front but was too scared to do it..

I don't even have a front license plate on my car since I have a mesh grill but I like the Euro plate.. keep rocking it! Looks good!

My XK8 has never had a front plate mounted and it has never been a problem. Mostly folks only see it from the back LOL. The great folks of Nebraska Legislature has solved that problem for us this year. For a mere $98.00 we can get a windshield sticker that says we don't have to have a front plate. Gotta love the clever ways to raise revenue.

One concern in states that require 2 plates is that they supply 2 plates, and expect to see both on the same vehicle. If they see just one, they think it is possibly being used on another vehicle. A long time back, some enthusiast friends that wanted nothing to do with front plates were driving with both plates bolted to the back of the car, and were able to talk an officer down from a citation to a warning by being so clever ("Officer, both plates are on the car, let me show you!").

More likely, you expose yourself to nuisance tickets (finding your car ticketed after dinner in town, or parking at a metro station). In addition, your car might be flagged by automated LPR systems and bring a lot of unwanted attention fairly quickly as the registration stickers are not visible. Reputedly, those systems scan tens of plates every second as cops in some jurisdictions just drive around going about their business.

I haven't had one for 5 years (it's in the trunk) and never been stopped. Years ago I was stopped driving another car & was given a warning.

I've run without a front plate for 7 years (and just over 60k miles). I got stopped once in South Dakota (I was definitely speeding, but not clocked, so he reminded me that Minnesota requires a front plate and let me go) and once just outside of town by a highway patrol (written warning). I still am running without it.

Same here, Hawaii requires a front plate, it's in the trunk. Usually I pull it out and zip tie it on for my yearly safety inspection but this year I forgot and it passed anyway.

Never had an issue...
