Look at this underhood...
And real carbon interior upgrade.

I don't think the point is to show it off just a quiet mod
Do you have a pic of the other type of CF used for interior? The picture you posted looks a lot like what I have with the factory CF package but I could be wrong, or it could just be that I have the same option as what you posted.
Yes yo do, i meant its rare

This is stock.
You can't think stock is carbon fiber. I mean really?
It's not even carbon fiber look but more of an etched aluminum engraved with a strange fiber pattern. Even a carbon fiber wrap looks a bit similar to real but what Jag does isn't even close.
Go look at some real carbon fiber.
It's the difference between Tang and fresh squeezed orange juice. The difference between formica press on vinyl flooring squares and marble. C'mon guys.

Well lets see if I can explain it.
It probably wouldn't be the first mod one would do for sure but occasionally dealers do mods to set their car apart from the masses. It's a feature. It serves no function but, hey it looks good when the hood is open. Again, dealers do this kind of thing as sales tactics to set a car apart to give the prospective buyer the aura of value when comparing cars. If you happened to be looking for this car, especially at two dealerships, one could opt to buy this one because of the underhood treatment given everything else being equal.
I happen to think it looks pretty sharp and had Jag chosen to do this on every F-Type they made, we wouldn't be asking why. We would come to expect the fact that Jag did a great job with their details, even under the hood.
Doesn't bother me a bit and in fact, if I were comparing two cars, this could indeed be a tie-breaker, all else being equivalent.

You could simply always drive with the hood in the closed position and not lose any sleep. Seems to be one of those rare mods that really don't need an opinion.

If you were showing off the engine a lot, it'd be a nice touch - like a cf engine cover. It also shows some attention to detail which is always nice. One of those things you dont expect but when you find them you think "they thought of everything!"
If Jag would have thought to do it themselves, everybody would be like "yes!" We'd have multiple posts and threads on here with the topic of "Hey, whats the part # for the replacement cat sticker for the underside of my hood? Mine is slightly discolored and needs replacing."
