Default Corroded Sills S Type

E bay purchase. Sills corroded. Trying to work out approx costs.

Anyone in and around Hertfordshire UK that's recommend to replace both Sills. I've seem replacements on eBay circa £200

I don't want to break this car as it's a bit to good ( apart from the rust !!!!)

Agreed on the interior , it's exactly the same as mine , quite common on the 03 STR and I like it too !
I've seen a yellow and black one as well , and can't say that's my thing . The red is striking against the black !

As for the sill replacement over here in NZ that job is $1k nzd per side ! Or about
£600 per side labor sealed and painted . I think it would be well worth saving , if there is no surprise rust else were , be sure to check the front and rear sub frames as well ,

There's a cream (white?) and black, too.

I have seen the white and black too but never the yellow and black? Not sure that would look as good. Mines all black and it's really too much black and could use some contrasts.

I thought they were called "Portfolio" cars? I have seen this on XJ's also.

Maybe... but that might the ones with piped-trim (round the leather edges)?

Thanks for the pictures. Yes I have seen that and I thought it was white or cream color?

Yes the XJ's use a lot of contrasting piping which can look very good.

I really love the XFR's with the black and London Tan combination.

I posted a few pictures on the uk forum of my interior with the red and black leather. I had the light maple wood tinted with dark lacquer as it seemed to suit the colouring better.

Default BUMP

Anyone had any experience on repairing rusty sills ? Mine will fail the MOT, a welder friend said it's ALOT of work, he's a relative, and we were hoping it would just be cover sills, but it looks like inners need repair and the middle part as well.

otherwise it's off to the scrapyard for the car I mean
