I'm with you. Our last 4 cars have been V8's. Two with blowers F-T, CTS-V, and 2 NA, SLK 55, C63.

The greenies will have to peel the steering wheels of our V8's from my cold, dead hands.

Remember, There's no replacement for displacement.

Manual???

Also as for 4cyl.... Who cares. Get a vanity plate that says "Not 4cyl" 😂😃

I really can't imagine, with all the additional options and costs, that a 4-cylinder is going to bring someone over? Are all the Festiva and Fiesta guys going to buy a Brit car now?

I do worry how garish all the different badging may end up. I hate debadging and one might consider it. which is what all the four-cylinder guys will do. LOL

Liked the wheels.
Liked the darker rear lights.
The seats were very comfortable.
Liked the rear, couldn't see where the fog lights were though.
The front bumper design change may be one of the few mistakes Jaguar ever did. Resembles to AMG GT and loses Jag shark lines. I do not like to disappoint you, is a matter of taste but the F-Type was a piece of art design with no need for face lifts. Some cars are born perfect and elaborating perfection it is not wise to me.

As facelifts go, this one is fairly mild. Sure, current owners will notice immediately. However I suspect 99% of the public won't have a clue.

So long as the 4cyl comes in 6 speed, I'm actually very excited for the new engine. I would bump "down" when they're available for sure.

Honestly, that also seems like a mistake. The four-banger guys that would consider coming from a Focus or Miata would love a manual.

You're still talking double the price of those cars; quite the jump.

Regardless, the people of the world have spoken. Adding a manual trans isn't the way to go if you're looking for sales and profit. At FCA, the Dodge Charger never got a manual trans because it would require multiple crash tests for each variant that would get the trans. The 5-10, $100,000 prototypes needed for each sub-model outweigh the minimal addition to sales a manual transmission would bring.

Were lucky we got anything.

Also, the Miata crowd would be horrified by the OEM shifter.

Anyone have any recent updates on the MY18's? I noticed that the Canadian and US sites are still showing 2017 build specs.

In the hopes of upgrading to the 18, I've been in contact with my local dealership and they're saying their system shows a August delivery for a new (Canadian) build 2018. I know their production dates have a tendency to change, just not sure what's going on since there hasn't been much movement online (except on the UK site) for the new models.

Looks like the Canadian site is now showing the 2018 build but the US site is not. For once, we're ahead of the curve in Canada!

Default Ultra Blue in US?

I notice on the 2018 configurator on the UK site, Ultra Blue is available as a color option. Any chance it'll be offered in the US?
