Doh! I should have known. You did indeed appear to have suddenly become spontaneously brilliant.

Thought you guys & gals would appreciate some recent work we did on the V6 Platform. It's in an FPace but I thought you guys would be interested in light of the 'pops and crackles' situation. The FPace comes stock with no pops & crackles, so we're able to induce them for those that want this.

With VelocityAP tuning products, apart from BHP and torque gains that we have documented ourselves as well as verified independently by owner dynos, you get a completely different level of service.

Each file is written individually, rather than splashing exactly the same thing on everybody's car. Sounds good on paper but what does it really mean? Well, in practise the power-generating aspects of the tunes are almost always going to be the same. Where we differentiate is that you can specify a range of options you want added or removed:
- Eco Stop/Start Disable
- Set up in Advance for Pulleys, Downpipes
- Throttle Sensitivity adjustments - some like more and some like less, we will fine tune to suit your preferences
- RPM Limit Adjustments
- Pops & Crackles - either increase or decrease to suit preference

When you send your file to us for modification, you're communicating directly with our software engineer Chris, not through 2 or 3 intermediaries. This means you can get exactly what you want.

We also offer free 'retunes' if your software is dealer updated, and up to 5 tuning files if desired. Check out the FPace below - pops & crackles tune, and an increase of 0.7 seconds 0-60 (for the Base 340BHP) and 0.4 seconds for the 'S' 380.

If you’ll permit me the unsolicited plug; based on everything I’ve heard (and, no, I am not a paid spokesperson) and read on these Forums, but especially from dear friends who’ve worked with VELOCITYAP - about you Stuart, your company, and your tuner Chris - Forum members would do well to take advantage of your professionalism, workmanship, knowledge, and dedication to “advancing the breed”. Ours.

No, not at the moment. But that fit up is exactly the same as the V6, only with a different tail trim. Our V6 with Twin Trims might work fine.

So the V6 rear box would make no difference in sound do you think or may baffelled twin trims, seems the 2.0 has one exhaust valve, the V6 2

A stock V6 box will probably make no difference. One of our Supersport or Sport should.

Yes, David Appleby Engineering in Banbury is our UK distributors. It's not a complicated install on these cars, but with the different tip and valance it would be one of those 'don't know until we try it' jobs.

Stuart,

I am only looking at doing a tune and suspension work currently.
On the tune, I have a couple of questions, do these only work when dynamic is set or are they on all the time? If I have the tune and select snow/rain/ice mode what happens? Also, I have had a couple of other cars where tuners have offered a 'eco' mode that generally involves dumping boost early and the such to try and get the most gas mileage out. For example on my Mazdaspeed3 and Focus ST I was able to get form the 27mpg hwy to near 35-40 mpg hwy, do you know if that is capable here? The eco mode was great for when I would A) Go long distances across many states and B) when I knew I was always going to be stuck in construction areas for traffic. Lastly, if the tune is removed from the car prior to warranty work, does it leave a trace?

The new car I purchased is already leaving me a bit worried on some warranty work down the road, however, I would like to extract more power...

Stuart, Got a message from David Appleby Engineering regarding the 2.0 exhaust option through Facebook which said, "As soon as VelocityAP release the product to us we will be able to supply to you. Have your conversations with Stuart at velocity led to anything regarding development of the product for your car?

Looks like the one for the V6 looks to be the same setup for the 2.0 and the rear valance is the same on the new cars, as the OEM exhaust valve would no longer be used, would the V6 rear box on the 2.0 increase the sound.

It appears to me that the V6 version would fit, but we won't know until it's tried, or until we either get a car in our factory or an OEM Sample.

Has someone measured the 0-100 mph or 0-120 mph after the VAP tune and crank pulley on a V6s?

Trying to figure out the performance delta versus the stock FType V6S.

Thanks

I haven't taken any measurements but I have the Eurotoys lower pulley and VAP tune on my V6S (RWD) and the bum dyno tells me it is quite a lot quicker 0-100 mph than stock.

An 18% HP increase for the V6S has to have some positive impact on 0-60 times.
