this one is more 'SVR-like':

I'm worried about the downforce and wind on this thing.

No issues with the wing so far, its been about a month now.

I can't find the link from where I purchased it but it is the same as the one mshedden posted.

I was a bit concerned about that as well but the car has seen triple digits plenty of times now and it is just as stable as ever! I obviously deactivated the factory auto-deploying wing as well.

That is correct, however I have no intentions of making my car look like an SVR. I prefer this CF design as I feel it compliments the F Type's body lines better.

Lol I saw that. I'm at a lot of the same car events as him because most of these events in SoCal are held by my clients/partners.

It's funny how triggered he gets when he sees a V6 or V6S but I still watch most of his videos because it has some good content. It would be cool to actually see him track his SVR one of these days but doubtful it will ever happen. It would be even more fun to chase him down around the track in my crappy base model V6.

This also gave me an idea - I should paint "Trigger warning" on the rear bumper of my track car.

I have enjoyed the Hooked on Driving events at Buttonwillow the most as they eliminate the last little curve up the small hill before the back straightaway, making that back stretch about a mile long where you can build tremendous speed based on the confidence you have in your brakes at the end where you have a perilous acute turn. I am getting my newly refurbished Pantera back next week, and although I had promised myself not to track it any longer (I'm just getting too old to fight the manual steering), I can't resist one more shot at giving the new 500+hp, 550ft.lbs. of torque engine a thorough thrashing, finally with seats and harnesses that will keep me from feeling like a fish out of water, thrashing about. I was invited to go to Spring Mountain in Pahrump in April, but the last time I took the Pantera there I felt like someone had beaten me up at the end of the day. Let's put together a Jaguar day at Buttonwillow, it's a much more forgiving track that you can be at in an hour and a half from most places in So Cal.

And by the way, you guys in Southern California, ought to come up to Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills on Sunday mornings, always a huge turnout (especially the first Sunday of the month), great cars, lots of canyons to drive just minutes away up Topanga Canyon.

I definitely think we could pull off a track day at BW. I’m actually typing this on my phone as I just passed the track 10 minutes ago on my way up to Thunderhill lol.

I have a meeting with Jag/Aston in a couple weeks about doing collaborations and one of the things I would really like to do is host a meet and some track days.

As far as SuperCar Sunday in Woodland Hills goes, I know I need to force myself to go up there one of these days but it’s just hard for me to justify getting up early on a Sunday since we have have so many events in OC (Newport Lamborghini, San Clemente CnC, Targa Trophy, Moulin, Period Correct, Sunset GT, etc)

A little update. I've been so busy at work that I haven't had much time to work on my personal car but the car is getting an XPEL clear bra on the front bumper, sides skirts, headlights and mirror backs. Basically all of the high impact areas. Pics to follow..

Not the Hood? You may wish you had done the hood. Surprised you don't have rock chips in your hood already. seems to be a magnet for road gravel.

Yes the hood is at risk, you might want to add that to the list.

Haha yes, I sell it for a living The full nose is recommended (front bumper, hood, fenders, mirror backs and headlights) but we're going to be wrapping and coating the car in the next few months anyways. It's going to be a test mule for different products and projects over the next couple of years. But I still haven't decided what I want to do yet..

FR500GT,
I'm interested in doing the front end of my newly resprayed Pantera when I get it back in the next few days in one of the products on the market, and I'd be interested in knowing about the ones that you represent. Since the wedge shaped "nose" is only inches from the ground (the whole car is only about 40" high), I want to protect the paint. PM me some information, and maybe I'll take a ride down from Los Angeles and take a look.
Thanks,
Ted
