The interior of a Jaguar is always the best indicator of a careful owner. Driver's seats wear and plastic breaks. No sign of any issues in your photo.

I think you got a very good deal.

7.5K is a smok'in deal. Do the records show the tensioners being replaced. I can't imagine they haven't been.

Smile The Texas Coupe with XKR - 100 TreadPlates

Graham,

Again, Thank you very much for helping me find these XKR-100 Tread Plates! I found them at Terry's Jaguar Parts in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As I installed them, I could tell they are the real thing as things like the thin Blue Plastic Cover that covered the Chrome and the Letters would hardly pull-off.....I had to get the Chrome Polish out to remove all the old glue......and let me tell you, Terry's Parts was pretty proud of them when it came time "Cash Out"! After looking for the XKR-100 Badge for over a year and finding it in Scotland, (Photo Below) and you giving me an idea of where I could get the Tread Plates....I am a happy Guy and I finally have all the goodies that the SVO Team came up with in 2001, when they made this limited run of 500 XKR-100's to celebrate Sir William Lyons' 100th Birthday. All these XKR-100's came with the "R" Option Package and cost 5,900 Pounds more than the Standard XKR! (Jaguar was pretty Proud of them too!)

Graham and any of you Guys on the Forum, do you know of anyone that has a real one? This would really be a rare XKR! OOPs! 2001 "XKR-100"!

Neither of which look nicer than his car IMO. The Bentley, if you mean the Continental GT, is over bloated and just carries an image I don't like. Besides it's an Audi underneath. Aston, well depends which one. Vulcan, DB11 or the new Vantage ok. But anything from the X100 era I would take the X100 for looks.

What's impressive is how the supossedly smaller F-type dwarfs the XKR. Why have today's cars become so much bigger?
Yep. The very first time I saw a X100 in the flesh after looking at photos for so long, I was surprised by how smaller and lower than I thought it was.

About modern cars becoming so much bigger, safety features and safety regulations would be my guess.

Got out for a brief Spring AM run to stretch her legs a bit before the snow came later in the day.

We received a bit of snow this year. You just had to look UP to see it.

One of the very few rag tops which actually looks good with the top up. Most other rag top convertible cars only look good with the top down. The X100 is such an underrated beauty.

I think this is excellent advice and it's actually one of my biggest criteria in my search for my X100. The interior is a big tell sign.

It's beautiful. What color exactly is it?

Just finished going through the whole thread. Your cars are very nice. Looking at all these beauties doesn't make it easier to be patient to find the right one.

I first decide on:

1. model year
2. base specification
3. paint/trim combination
4. preferred options

Distance is no object. The search then begins with compromise only on (4).

My current Jaguar took six weeks to find from a short list of four; the previous one took fourteen months and I tested seven.

With the search for a used Jaguar you have to be focussed, patient and very demanding.

Enough snow now. Please bring me summer, or at least a decent spring season.

Great looking XKR! What color is that? Could you post the same photo without the filter?

By the way, how much do they go for up there in Denmark?

Sorry to hear the Denmark weather isn’t cooperating. If it makes it any better, I was able to go on an outing today with the top down here in Idaho, after spending some time outside with a clay bar and finished with machine polishing.

Well Jaegar...
You can begin by adding approx 120-140 % tax on top of the price of the car
That's how we fund free education and health care and pretty much free anything for everyone around here

I see.

What is the name of the color?

Still would love to see the photo without a filter.
