Default Santana Row Cars and Croissants

Once again I was the only Jaguar (I need to start taking my F-Type to these things). Nice AM at the event but the money shot was a Fisker in front of the Tesla store.

Yours always seems to have a crowd around it Rob.

Never heard of Anteros, that's an interesting one.

Default Anteros

It is one of 4 cars that were made. First production model and only one other came off the line before the company failed. It is a 2006 Corvette with a completely different skin. Nicely done overall, even the seats were reworked. Pretty thing, several folks thought it looked like a Jaguar, I thought it had more of a Ferrari vibe.

Default another road trip

Kitty just got new shoes and had to take her for a ride around rural New Brunswick. The pictures are on one of those old time cable driven ferries across the Saint John River. The passenger is my lovely wife who kept saying "stop taking pictures people are staring at us already!" and "we already have more pictures of the jag then we do of the kids"

Default Good Vintage

Motored up to Saracina winery in Hopland, CA this weekend and took this shot in front of their architecturally stunning tasting room. Saracina is one of the spin offs of the original Fetzer family and grow organic and biodynamic wines which are superb. Malbec take note. They have an excellent Malbec!

Default Old and New

My 2004 XKR alongside an F-Type Coupé at Cotswold Airport, UK. The guy on the right of the group is Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar and the man who designed the original XK. Ian also oversaw the design of the F-Type and the Coupé is his car. He turned up at the airport while members from the XKEC were having a regular breakfast meet and stopped for a chat.

Actually he didn't design the XK8/R. He designed the 2007 and onwards second gen XK. Geoff Lawson designed the X100 XK8/R. Ian callum designed the DB7 based off of the XJS modified X100 chassis. At least, that's what I've been lead to believe.

What's impressive is how the supossedly smaller F-type dwarfs the XKR. Why have today's cars become so much bigger?

XK is still the better looking car.

That's actually pretty subjective. I think Callum didn't do too good of a job on the X150's nose, but the F-type I think he nailed it spot on.

XK100 is my preference. Or the stunning E-Type.

Agree. Never was find of the fordish grille treatment or the cross eyed headlamp feel.
