Thanks for the kind words!
Nothing major has been done in my years of ownership Mostly suspension bits, hoses and an oil cooler my daughter wiped out That and lots of little repairs to bits
As to missing parts, some are sitting in the garage but more need to be sourced. The bumper cover is the big rub with its extra holes and broken mounting tabs for the passenger fog light that was destroyed by a runaway truck hubcap.
Nicely sorted car Sean. You have a great sense of style. Really like the removal of the signal lenses.
Who makes those wheels? They look awesome and I am not typically a fan of black wheels.
Pics like these make me want to buy a bigger house just so I can buy a coupe to go with my convertible.
Thanks! I build all of my cars normally but I was able to purchase this one like you see it. I do know that this car was posted on here when the previous owner was building it back in 2013. Since it was re-built, it has only had one owner and he updated the wheels. They deserve a lot of credit for restoring this car so well! It’s looks incredible and drives excellent. Hard to believe this car has over 200k miles!
Gordo, that is a very clean XK8 that looks to be in excellent shape. I did notice that the bypass hose from the water outlet to the thermostat tower is bloated and needs to be changed. It's a simple job that might be worth saving the next owner a small headache.

Might you be able to highlight this pic for me? I’m not quite sure what you are referring to and want to educate myself on this issue. New owner of a 2004 XK8 here as of October and want to (potentially) save myself a headache if I know what to look for.

On this picture, it's the small, 2 to 4 inch hose between the water outlet and the thermostat tower. It is bloated, which indicates an old worn out hose. This applies to any and all cooling system hoses on any car. The fix is just to replace the hose.

If I was going to undertake that retirement project my preference would be to start with the less flexible coupe platform and go from there to make it mine.
