Wow us with your XK8/R photos
Thanks, but I have no suggestions. The wires are original to the E, and have an excellent chrome finish- probably the only part of the car that hasn't had a touch-up over the years. They make keeping the wheels balanced a chore even for the light driving schedule the car gets; I shudder at the thought of my 8 with wires considering some of the higher-speed, long-distance runs it gets by comparison.
I'm noticing if i'm squeezing thru pedestrians near the Natural History/Science and V+A Museums in London a lot of them spot the car then stare at the leaper on my XK8 and recognise the brand - most of them of course are tourists.
Just picked up my XKR from the shop this week after having a set of refurbished Double-Five wheels and new Michelins put on. Also had the front brakes replaced.

Just had to buy this car to have something to fiddle around with. 2000 XK8 driven by a little Ol Lady from Tallahassee, 50k on the clock and I just replaced the secondary tensioners, thanks to the help from this forum it was a piece of cake. She runs great, smooth and quite and gets a lot of attention. Happy Holidays to all.
I can't remember what he sold it for but it was two small cars, and not an exotic. Oh, and i think a vacation as well!!!
