Fricken weather forecasters. They get paid to be a mile off target. Took a road trip to SE Minnesota Bluff Country. Some of the prettiest in the U.S.

Forecast for the area - Sunny and 80. Actual - Rainy 62.
Spoiled the scenery but didn't let it spoil the drive. I lot of scenic winding roads, without the scenery.

Got to Lake Pepin and the rain stopped. Snapped a couple of pics

Will go back in the fall

Be-bopping home after stopping by a buddy's leased land to look at a broken haybine had some newer VW thingy with two guys acting like they'd seen a Ferrari behind me. Realized my old beat up XKR had them doing hysterics when they made the same turn as me for the fourth time. Got clear and gained some separation before turning again and they were all thumbs up and beeping horns as they went by.

I don't think I could own an exotic.

My headlights are back! They did an excellent job, and the clearcoat should be properly long-lasting. For further longevity, I wonder if I should add a clear film or perhaps some ceramic coating to them? Of course, the clearcoat has to dry thoroughly first, which ought to take a few weeks at least.

Well I kinda liked the empty socket look, but I guess it's not that aerodynamic and you can't drive at night.

anyways, I put 303 Aerospace on mine (and everything else plastic or rubber) about once a month or 2. Helps minimize the UV damage. I would imagine ceramic would be optimal though.

Say hello to Violet. She's the one with the Mercedes, swimming pool, and room for a pony!

I actually don't work at Harman anymore. They pretty much ruin whatever they touch...... Sad.

I just finished a front brake rotor and pad replacement. Thanks to Mandrake for both getting me motivated AND running me to the store to get the 9mm hex drive I needed and didn't have (for some weird reason).

For some silly reason most sets go from 8mm to 10mm and forget the 9 all together.

Yep, and then 12,14,16 and so on. I guess people don't like odd numbers.

Thumbs up My kind of repair!

Having spent over $2000 on a leaking trans gasket/oil pan and t'stat replacement, my windshield washers needed some attention (which I can actually get to). Thinking it might be the pump/non-return valve, I jacked her up, removed the wheel, pulled out the rear section of the front wheel arch liner and discovered some nasty, black slimy gunk had infested the valve, pump inlet and part of the lower tubing. A quick clean, blast with compressed air and we're good to go!

I am totally with you on this point! Check out this thread I started on this very topic over 5 years ago!

Before:

A mix between XKR and XKRS with the Performance seats and 20's but without the extra ponies and body treatment. Hybrid? (Lol)

After:

Noticeable? You decide.

Got mine as I was buying 'my new to me' 2010 XKR a few years back.... A very serious improvement in looks over OEM plastic, wouldn't you agree?
