I'm pretty sure that plate is just an XKR thing. They appear to be very different brakes between the XK and XKR from what I have seen so far.

This refurb Is an OEM XK caliper cleaned up and rebuilt and looks exactly like the one I replaced.

Excellent photo sequence and a great write-up. I enjoyed reading (slowly) the procedure in French.

Looks great! Where did you get the little //R logo for the trim above the glove box? Nice touch.

I found a decal set that was very close to the dimensions of the logo on the stock piece. Turns out, that brake caliper decals are almost a perfect fit.

First, I like the old school rap selection... Second that is the same decals I used when I wrapped my calipers, two years and they still look new... I think I still have a couple extra, I might have to slap one up on the dash...

Did mind in as close to original "JAGUAR" lettering as possible. They were fading.

Any chance of seeing a pic of it on the car? Looks good so far!

What paint did you use?

Had a company nearby mix the paint and put it in a spray can. The finnish is not as nice as I would have liked it to be but that is probably the painters fault!
It's not a perfect colour match but close, looks better than the black plastic IMO.

When looking at the picture on the computer I see it is not properly seated so went out and gave it a couple of thumps and now it is!

When looking at the picture, I see you’ve got a lift and a spare front bumper!

Lift is very handy. The bumper is my old 2007, I just got my 2010 front bumper from the painter and am in the process of assembling it, love the look of it!
