Ok Guy's I'm going to be building up a database of Crossed Referenced Ford Parts That I and others here have successfully used in our Jaguars. Ford's Parts tend to be 1/2 the price or less of the Jag Equivalents, And have much greater availability both due to the larger ford dealer network, as well as online.

So far I've sourced the DCCV, Intake manifold upper and lower gaskets, wheel studs, Oil Pan gasket for the 3.0, and a few other items.

Please feel free to contribute or ask questions, as well as help possibly tracking down other parts.

Now onto the known parts list:

DCCV's - Dual Climate Control Valves:

2000-2002 Model Year (5 hose valve): Motorcraft part # YG355 , Jaguar Part # XR8-22975
2003 - 2008 Model Year (3 Hose Valve): Motorcraft part # YG378, Jaguar Part # XR8-40091

3.0 Liter Engine Intake Manifold upper and lower Gaskets:

Lower intake manifold gasket - Jaguar P/N XR843533 x 6

Upper intake manifold gasket - Jaguar P/N XR843536 x 6

Gaskets to Use: Made by Fel-Pro (sold in sets of 6, upper and lower)

For the upper gaskets (refered to as plenum gaskets) the part # for the set is MS96496

For the lower gaskets it is MS96485

Hey George, dont you think that sumthin like this would be better?
I've input some of the info into the sheet as an example and think that its much easier to read and a better cross reference tool. Maybe you could play around with it and design sumthin better, its just a rough outline that I think would improve the idea a little.
Obviously if / when whoever updates it I'd suggest making sure that the same font / style is used throughout and it keeps it clean and an easy to use tool.

George, I'm checking with Ford wether their adjustable pedals cross with Jags.

 

Well this is interesting. Of course some stuff crosses. It had better. Wasn't that the idea all along. But I am disturbed, not surprised, to see such a price differential. I don't intend to do very much of my own work on the one I buy. I already do way too much of that on my vintage cars. A modern Jag is mostly a non work-on vehicle anyway. So if I take it to the Jag dearler this isn't going to help. Looks like I'll need to find a very good independant Jag service shop with a flexible attitude.

Suggestion. Put the link to the parts xref in a sticky somewhere. This is the one area all of these forum software packages really don't handle very well. Data management. Maybe an external link to a Wiki?

 

The window actuators from the lincoln will work on our cars. I swapped one out for $78 from autozone on my 02.

I found the ccv I needed for my 03 on Amazon.com for $85 no shipping!

 

I don't have part numbers (I'm in Iraq), but when I serviced the trans on my old 2000 S-Type 4.0L's five speed auto transmission(5R55N) I used Motorcraft OEM parts from the local Ford dealership, I just told them I had a 2002 Ford Thunderbird. I used the following Motorcraft parts.

Transmission pan gasket
Transmission Filter kit
Transmission drain/level plug

 

Yeah, it's a Ford box. Every thread keeps saying so

the a/c compressor for the Lincon LS 3.0 and the Jaguar s-type 3.0 are the same;and the Lincoln LS 3.9 and the Jaguar s-type 4.0 are the same at least they are the same on the 2001 models.

 

Can anybody confirm or deny that a Lincoln LS rear differential will fit our cars?

 

how about a fuel tank for a 06 stype since theyre no longer avail from Jag and Ive got a leaker for 4 months now........what say you andro?????

Well Brutal,

Ford EPC lists part # 1w43-AA or 9002 as fitting 03-06 LS's regardless of displacement, and 03-06 T-Birds. What are the chances of them using a separate tank in the other DEW platform sister car. Found a couple salvage yard images of LS tanks. They use the same primary - secondary fuel pump setup with the one pump to the motor and the other pump to the other side of the tank. Does this look right??
