Any fuel line that is appropriate for the fuel you use ( ethanol tolerant likely needed ) is fine. 8.5mm ID if I recall correctly.

The metal ferrules are available from suppliers advertising in the site.

The "crimps" are not crimps, they are a collar that is not attached to the hose and are reusable. Fuel injection hose of the right size can be cut to length and used.

The type of fitting used on the rail and the hose is a system that is designed to be leak free with no clamp, using a clamp will actually compromise the joint.

When removing the old hose UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES use a knife lengthwise to split the old hose. The blade will often go through the hose and nick the barbs on the rail or injector. These nicks will cause leaks.

Can you give a bit more info on the collars please. I.e. Availability and type. Thanks

Don't use fuel hose with a fluorolastomer liner, like the Goodyear stuff with a blue liner. It's not grippy enough, and leaks. I did have better luck with Gates hose, no liner.

The ones I have seen are like a "top hat" that go over the hose at the end that attaches to the fuel rail. Part #6 in the diagram, part number EAC7876. The do not fit tight on the hose, but semi loose.

Or from or any other company, perhaps even one that consistently delivers ordered products in a timely manner. Whichever.

As you are in the UK, I suggest these people, who supply a full kit with instructions. Very high quality stuff.
https://mrinjectoruk.co.uk/Bosch-028...-P2420447.aspx
and this
https://mrinjectoruk.co.uk/Jaguar-V1...-P4886461.aspx

These two enables a full refurb of the injector, its filter, all its seals and pintles.
They do kits for the 6 cylinder engine as well.

I assume I need to take the fuel rail off to replace the hoses, is there anything I need to be aware of. I will also replace plugs and plugwires while fuel rail is off.

Thanks for all the replies.

Someone said not to split the hoses lengthwise, but old hoses can be extremely hard to remove. Hopefully yours aren't that bad, but the ones I have done took a lot more work than you would expect.

Oh yes, they are not easy to remove! What I did was use a sharp hobby knife to shave down the old hose until it was very thin on the side and then it could split and come off. Takes patience to do, it won't be a quick process.

I cut the injectors off and burnt the stubs on the rail with a gas lamp the injectors i bent the collar down and used a blade to split them.
I googled it and came up with 4 usa supplier's and same uk. One in Texas which I have used in the past for twin fans.

Yes, remove the rail.

Pay close attention to the orientation of the injector hold-down plates. Installing them backwards will darken your day a bit.

Order new injector seals ahead of time...the ones that sit in the inlet manifolds

I'm on my first cuppa coffee. Might come back with more.

Cheers
