Default Plastic bits on front end...

New owner of this S-Type, 114K kms. Am missing the two plastic covers that cover the triangular openings in the front end, below and between the headlights. There's one on each side of the car. Can't think of what's there except maybe headlight washers? In any case, am missing them and would like to cover the openings. Car is dark green...

PS Should have mentioned they are for the front body work, as opposed to front end, as some might think I'm referring to the suspension, which I'm not...

Would be a good idea to mention the year of the car. Perhaps take a photo.

No need for photos…these missing covers are indeed for the headlamp washer system (which is not on all models). You can often find these on Ebay. The covers on the S-Type don’t seem to go missing as often as those on the X-Type. They are NOT the same shape, so make sure you look for the S-Type covers. You will almost certainly have to spray paint them to match the body colour. You want the later version for your 2005 car…the sellers include front end photos of the cars themselves so you can tell which covers are the right ones.

You might consider bringing your car down to Victoria for Jaguars on the Island, the weekend of July 19 this year. This is always the largest annual Jaguar show in North America, now in its 19th year. Info at the Jaguar Car Club if Victoria website.

Sorry, I did set that up in my Signature, however I see it didn't get added to the post. It's a 2005. Sorry I don't have a closeup of the holes, but I think I've confirmed what they are called...

Living in a cold country, subject to Freezing, you may well consider this metal part.

Covers will require to be painted to the colour of choice.

other venders are available, as well as breakers yards etc.

The original poster lives in a part of Canada in which winter mostly means watching the daffodils coming up. These washer covers are very easily found on Ebay or Amazon - no need for special orders.

Do go for the aluminium cruciforms & you'll never lose a washer cover due to a plastic one breaking again.
