Coolant Pipe Replacement Kit - which one to choose
Hi all, I know there are lots of threads on this subject so sorry to be repetitive . I had a low coolant light come on at the weekend and in peering under the supercharger from the back I can indeed see what looks to be coolant pooling in the valley.
I am going to purchase an aluminum pipe replacement kit and replace everything together with a SC coupler whilst I have it apart.
The reason for my post is that I find a number of kits online and the price varies a lot and so I do not know what the best choice is and hope that some of you have used these kits and can direct me on a good choice. I am unfamiliar with any of these vendors.
I believe that JLR now supplies these .. hope someone who has purchased them can chime in. I bought replacements, but early ones from a 3rd party. JLR replaced mine under warranty with the 'new' style, but still plastic. I bought the metal replacements for "when" those give out.
@Vindi I used the Euro AMP version of the kit. Specifically: https://www.euro-amp.com/collections...charged-engine. Unfortunately it is currently out of stock. However, it's identical to the Parts Master Hub one you linked. The two listings use exactly the same photo even. I found the kit to be complete and reasonably well manufactured. I didn't have any problems with fit -- note that the front Y-pipe will likely take some tapping to get seated. The aluminum doesn't have the flex that the plastic does. To this point, I've had no leaks.
Can't help as to a kit - I bought parts individually from a combination of FCP Euro, Rock Auto, and ebay.
My thinking is - for these metal parts that are likely lifetime replacements which I will never need to buy again, I'll pay a bit more for the OE versions w/ the stupid JLR logos on them where possible, in order to avoid weird little problems. In watching a bunch of videos and reading a bunch of stuff, I've seen where at least a couple of the 3rd party metal pieces not quite fit properly without being irreversibly modified.
I didn't go with Euro Amp b/c I was getting some wild shipping costs to Canada - ditto for a couple of parts from Wraptor in the UK. Hopefully I don't get surprised by some of the other bits that don't typically fail!
To be clear, I'm not being all 'amazon prime free shipping 2 day rarrr!' entitled, but some of these estimates were way out of whack, and while I'm they might've been glitchy, I can't really rely on that when ordering internationally. (seriously tho, how does Rock Auto manage this?)

Hello, I bought my pipes and water pump here in Germany from a Jaguar dealer. In principle, any dealer should be able to supply them.
Thanks for the information. Looks like you ordered 3 different parts, yes ?
Yes, they were listed individually on the invoice.
However, the two pipes always have to be replaced together, so they were only available as a package under a single order number.
Item 1: Water pump
Item 2: Package HR7150 (AJ814312, AJ814311)
