Jaguars on the big screen
A MKII was used in the opening title of the original 'The Sweeny' 70's TV series in the UK, being chased by a Ford Granada.
In 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' a Beige Series III is used during the Betting Shop scene.
In 'The New Avengers' (70's UK TV Series) Garret had a Red XJ-S V12 Manual in 1976, this was the first time I'd ever seen an XJ-S (then newly launched) and it was that car that made me fall in love with Jags, ever since that tender age of 8 I lusted after having an XJ-S V12, getting my first one (albeit 3.6) in 1996 and the rest is history!

When Ford owned Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, Volvo, etc. I believe they had a three picture deal with the 007 producers to feature those cars. That arrangement ended after Quantum of Solace. Now Tata (Jaguar/Land Rover) has made a deal with Eon Productions that will see Skyfall full of Jaguars and Land Rovers with only Bond's classic DB5 to represent Aston Martin.
Safe House with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds, an early chase scene smashes up a silver X type (I think). its very quick in the trailer, around 2:14: SAFE HOUSE (2012) - OFFICIAL TRAILER -- HD - YouTube
dont know the name of the film,,,but it was a e-type i think the woman was going down on a fella when the hand brake let loose and it rolled into a tree,,no its not a **** flik..80's i think.. i was my wife that pionted it out
In the throes of a midlife crisis, a man buys a new Jaguar, and it immediately becomes his new love. What he doesn't know is that his wife is as attracted to the Jaguar salesman as he is to the car
She does. And the two main agents drive around in a 2013 XKRS (maybe?). I'm disappointed they don't show the cars more often. My wife watches it for the plot

Don't know if already posted but in Looper there is short scene that includes the rear of a black XK coupe. It is among a series of flash-forward scenes where you see Joseph Gordon Levitt living the good life as he gets older.
Again, the placement of the Jaguar in this movie supports my cinema theory that when the character is a wealthy jerk or despicable slickster, he/she is usually shown driving a Jaguar.

True but Mercedes are used as similar shorthand just as often.
