Whilst out for a run last Saturday I had to accelerate quite hard to pass another vehicle. The gearbox kicked down a couple of gears, at this point whist accelerating I glanced in my rear view mirror to see a cloud of blueish smoke. Repeated the action to see the same result. I’ve checked coolant no oil and no loss, Underside of the oil filler cap, no emulsified oil. On cold start engine doesn’t burn any oil. Been in touch with the Indy who looks after my car and it’s booked in for next week. I don’t think it’s rings or valves, although without a test can’t be sure. I think it maybe a sensor or injector which is faulty and maybe over fuelling the engine. Which ever way it goes it’s going to be expensive me thinks ☹️

 

I would also think sensor or injector but only a compression test and a diagnostics session is going to confirm possible causes. Good luck.
