Emerald Fire
Hello to Alan the Darth Vadar man I was talking to at the Brighton gathering last Sunday. I believe your car is finished in Emerald Fire, and not Botanical Green as we discussed. I saw a XJ for sale in one of the classic magazines, at a price to make your eyes water, and recognised the colour as yours. I'm sure Google will supply a lead to the actual paint code. Wish my XKR was finished in the same shade- but I can't sell it yet- the ashtrays aren't full !

Looks wonderful; my XKR convert. looks black with its Botanical Green paint, until the sun hits it, and the metallic lights up. Recently I scratched the front bumper, and my bodyshop man said it was the most expensive paint he'd ever bought.Luckily he got the shade perfect.Sorry I can't upload a picture, the technology bypasses my humanity. Good luck with your sale!

I know this is a dead thread, but is Botanical Green and Emerald Fire Green the same color under different names? They look very similar in pics and the description seems the same - a dark BRG-esque shade with metallic flake that shines in the sun. Seems the shades in pictures could come down to lighting and photography?
Does anyone know which years they were available? I haven't seen any in the 5.0l config, and the colors are very rare.

Uugggghh... That is my dream configuration! I've seen only one Emerald Fire for sale, a 2008 base with a quad exhaust modification. I have never seen one in person, but all images online look incredible.
I looked at a very low mileage (35k) 2007 XKR with a dark silver metallic flake today, and it was exquisite. No marks on the outside or inside, not even the normal rear seat pillar rub from the driver's seat.
And it looks incredible, especially in that color. But I keep coming back to these images of the Emerald Fire as what a "proper" British sports car should be.

Ignore the dumster in the lot behind the car warehouse, heh. Rear 3/4 shot.
