Just shop around, start with the comparison sites and then try going direct. Last year, and this year I'll be covering my S-Type with Go Skippy - yep never heard of them before, but by far the cheapest for my Jag, and their direct renewal cost they posted to me was cheaper than the cheapest quote at comparison website, and cheaper than last years premium with them too!

It's a very competitive market. I do this every year for both my vehicles.

I tried a comparison site 」649. With no accidents or points against in the last ten years. Last time I was in the UK my XKR was about 」250 with Churchill. They seem to be penalising being abroad despite driving in the UK every year with hire cars. I値l try Go Skippy
Cheers

Hope you're sorted but if needed, moneysavingexpert.com in the car section, has all the comparison sites and the cheapest singles, so you can whittle it down to the cheapest. Probably aimed more at mainstream insurance but I managed to get a classic policy using this method last year.

I'm sure many of us go through the same ritual every year:

1. renewal notice arrives
2. check comparison websites
3. re-negotiate with current insurer
4. get a better deal or switch insurer

I run two cars and both have been on separate policies with Admiral for the last three years.

The renewal notice for my other car arrived this week. I was amazed to find it is 」7 less than last year and none of the comparison websites can come within 」100 of the Admiral premium. Motor insurance has always been a strange business!

Try Quote-Me-Happy, internet only part of Aviva. Cheapest quote I got or Adrian Flux but haggle with them as their first offer will be high then when you致e haggled they will offer a substantially better quote.

Thanks Graham, surprisingly they came in at 」1119, insurance sure is a concluding game to play. Luckily I still have a couple of months up my sleeve as I have delayed the return umntil July

I see their speciality is not only expat insurance but also daylight robbery.

If you opt for a pay monthly direct debit you invariably end up with credit agreement with a finance company which will substantially increase the cost (usury?).
NFU offer a much cheaper credit rate but the premium will be higher.
One option is pay it on your credit card and pay it off as fast as possible.
