I have definitely got Tony from Harwoods Jaguar bringing along a car on the day, and I am going to ask a local auto box specialist to come along and meet everyone and answer any transmission related queries you guys with auto boxes might have..

 

Ummm - an F-Type Coupe? Might be nice to have a sit-in comparison with the XKR.

OK the date is now set as the 7th of December - I will confirm that Harwood Jaguar are fine for that date, see if I can organise the auto box specialist centre to attend for us, and make sure we get a meal deal for the day.

The date of the 7th has been confirmed with Harwoods Jaguar, and in the next few days I'll have a chat with the auto box repair specialist to see if they can be available for us.. meanwhile I need to know if there are any preferences in what showroom car Tony brings along from Harwoods.. I have had one request for an F-Type Coupe so far , but no other suggestions or thoughts.. please bear in mind when making suggestions, that it might be raining on the day (although last year we were quite lucky with the weather)

 

I will be up for this if Harwoods manage to sort my electrical issue by then.

 

If it's not sorted by then it will be a good chance to ask why :-)
Would you like to come along to the meet and the convoy? If so I could do with knowing what car, year, and how many passengers - plus you can come to just the meet or the convoy and meet..
Currently we have Harwoods Jaguar attending with a showroom car, I am hoping to get a local auto box specialist centre to attend to have a chat with people about any problems they may have, and will be sorting a fixed price big breakfast for everyone...
Also if I may suggest clicking on the CP button and adding your car details to your signature, it makes sure everyone knows your car, year, trim level etc when posting...

I will come to the convoy and meet as I am only in Reigate.
My car is a 2014 F-Type V6s Coupe in Red with Black pack and I will have one passenger, if I can fit two passengers in then that would be a good photo opportunity.haha

 

I know winter is usually a dark grey sort of time of year with plenty of rain, wind, and bad weather leaving us little choice but to hunker down in front of a TV watching archived film clips of our favourite cars on TopGear..

In south-east UK we don't do this - we organise our bi-annual Brighton convoy & meet!

This years winter meet is happening on Sunday 7th December - with a convoy travelling down from Pease Pottage Services to Madiera Drive, everyone parking up in one huge block of cars, followed by a fixed price big breakfast to set us up for the morning. I am in the process of organising what I can and a full itinery will be listed in the next few weeks including all and any costs there may be.. so you know everything you need to know before the event.

It's a great chance for you to have a break from the Christmas rush and shopping and to have some time with great company, fantastic cars, a mug of tea and something to eat..

Please note that with this being the Winter meet it is open to other marques - with a warm Jaguar welcome for everyone.

Many thanks Jim - currently I have another two attendees to add once I know if they want to attend just the meet, or the meet and the convoy - it is starting to look like we can manage what we did in the Summer - take over a huge chunk of Madeira Drive, and take a cafe to it's limits with the numbers it can deal with *and* have a great day (well, ignoring the potential weather) :-) It's a great result so far with still about seven or eight weeks to go :-)
