Default New X-Type owner needs shop in Clearwater

I am almost the new owner of an X-Type - I pick it up tomorrow. There are no records since I bought it at auction, so I want to get all fluids changed and have it looked over by someone who knows what they are doing. Does anyone have a suggestion for a shop in the area of Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, Palm Harbor, Clearwater area?

Also any advice is eagerly welcomed; this is my first Jag!

No personal experience with them, but reviews look promising.

Just noticed your sig; there's a Tampa Bay Brit Car Club? I suppose I should look into that. Anything else I should know about the local scene? There's not a lot of overlap with the Miata crowd I know.

Thanks GGG for the heads-up. I've posted a short intro there as suggested/required.

Maybe I should have mentioned I'm a transplanted Canadian; here in Florida for 16+ years now! Our long distance trips are typically Clearwater to NB where we have a house on the Atlantic coast (now for sale) to Toronto where our family is and back to Clearwater; about 4200 miles! A "short" trip is Clearwater to Toronto and back.

I'll be sure to look into that show in Winter Park. Thanks!

If you are in Clearwater. The Sun Coast Jaguar Club meets the first Wednesday of every month at the Hangar, located at 540 1st Street Southeast St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727 823-7767). We gather for the meeting at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner at 6.45 pm.

This is great to know. Thanks! I guess I just missed the April meeting but I'll put May into my calendar.

Default At the Hangar

When you walk in to the Hangar Restaurant just walk up the stairs and the meeting room is to the front of the building. Casual friendly group.

Welcome to the forum, I live in Seminole just South of Clearwater.

I have used Jagwork's, 5290 95th St N # A St Petersburg, FL 33708
(727) 319-3868 and Silvio is a real Jag fanatic, At one time he lived in Hawaii and maintained Magnum's Robin1 & Robin2.

I am a member of the Tampa Bay British Car Club and if interested we also have a gathering of car guy's every Sunday Morning at the McDonalds on the Tom Stewart Causeway near Bay Pines, just before the Bridge.

Welcome to the forum.

Highly recommend Team Motometrics at 13191 93 Street Unit 302 Largo Fl 33773 Tel:727.430.0801. Ask for Rocky. He is the owner, a great guy and very easy to work with. Also knows his stuff and works on my Jag, Saab and Volvo.
