Britain on the Green April 29th, 2012. Northern VA.
I just registered my 1953 XK 120 FHC for the show. But I thought that others may want to join in or at least come out and see all the cars. This is my first time at this event, but from what I have heard that it is a well run and fun event. Here is the link to the show and registration.

I went last year and really enjoyed the event despite the cold dizzly weather. It was very well organized, everyone was really friendly, the cars were simply amazing with a great variety. The setting is gorgeous. They even welcomed my phony Lister!!
Highly recommend stopping by to check it out.

Well, thought that I would report on the show. We had a great day, beautiful weather and lots of wonderful cars. I guess that there was about 200 or so cars. The show looked to be about 80% full. It was all very well organized. And it looked as if everyone had a great time looking at all the cars, talking, and meeting folks.
We spent our time fielding questions about the Jaguar. We encouraged folks to sit in the car and many did so. One gentleman said that he had a FHC new in the 50s, and was very appreciative that he could sit behind the wheel again after all these years. It was great to see the expression on his face.
Several other folks indicated that just sitting in one made them decided to buy one and show it. Everyone was just so excited.
I think that there were about a dozen Jaguars in the sports class (XK120s, 140s, 150s, and XKEs). All looked great and were shined to the nines. A couple were unrestored, and one 120 had just just been done, took four years. It was a spectacular car, racing green with spats on the rear wheels. Really a classic look.
We decided to stick around for the results of the judging and was surprised that our XK 120 FHC won the class. My on my, first place. We were really shocked. Folks really like the car, especially the color.

Yes, it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day after the crappy weather we had all week, and today was also overcast and cold.
Hey, don't forget my XK8!
There were also a couple of XK's.
