We are organizing a special event, to go along with the normal, weekly Fair Lakes, VA Cars & Coffee. The event on Sunday, April 14th will be a Lotus cars get together, but we are also inviting 'Lotus related' cars. I am posting here, because Lotus Engineering worked on chassis & suspensions on -

Jaguar XJ's and XK's, 2010 and newer.
Jaguar XKR-S.

OK, less than a week to GYLO (Get Your Lotus Out). Sunday, 04/14/13, at Fair Lakes. I am still looking for Lotus-related cars. This includes all XK's and XJ's from 2010 on.

We also invite Tesla Roadsters, Aston Martin DB9's and Vantages, Nissan GTR's, Jensen Healeys, Deloreans, Corvette (C4 LT5) ZR-1's, original Toyota MR2 (1984-89), Toyota Supra (Mk II & Mk III) and Isuzu Impulse. All were worked on by Lotus Engineering.

My current count is 19 Lotus in attendance, with another 3 maybes. I do not have a good count of the "Lotus-related" vehicles, but I expect we'll have more than a handful. This ought to be fun.

...and there will be prizes...

We have 20 confirmed Lotus attendees for this Sunday's GYLO event, and still 3 maybes. I can't believe we won't have an excellent showing, with predicted great weather (finally)!

Mark Franke and I will cordon off the strip of parking spaces that backs up to the parkway. We will be there well in advance of the 8:00AM start time. Lotus-Related cars will have a separate area, marked for Lotus-Related. I'm hoping to have a good turnout, including XKs, XKRs, and XJs from 2010 on, as they had aluminum chassis worked on by Lotus.

There will be prizes awarded for winners of the popular votes for various Lotus categories, as well as for the Lotus-Related cars.

We hope to see you there! You should see some cars (and people) that you don't see every day.

Ditto ... weather forecast is good. Love to have been able to see these cool cars ... mine is just a new stock model not much more to see that you cant see at a dealer.

 

Sorry - I forgot to put up a link to where the pictures for this event were posted. The 'Lotus Related' angle was pretty much a bust, as only a Tesla Roadster showed up, but we did have a great showing of Lotus...
